HLTAID006 – Provide Advanced First Aid

Course Information

Master the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders until the arrival of medical personnel.

Practice your skills and gain the confidence to coordinate, manage and provide first aid responses to family members, work colleagues or even a stranger when you complete this course with Newcastle First Aid.

Our flexible learning gives you the option to refine your skills in a timeframe that is convenient to you.


There are no prerequisites required to participate in this course.


Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will receive a statement of attainment for:
  • HLTAID006 – Provide Advanced First Aid

Course Duration

One (1) day plus online theory.


Completion of practical and theory components are required to achieve competency in this unit.

For the comfort of you and your class mates please ensure you wear comfortable clothes and footwear as practical sessions will require you to kneel on the floor.

All course materials are included in the cost of this course.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum age 14 years
  • Oral communication – in order to make an accurate verbal report to emergency response services and workplace supervisor, the remaining foundation skills essential to performance are explicit in the performance criteria of each unit.
