HLTAID007 – Provide Advanced Resuscitation

Course Information

Newcastle First Aid can assist you in gaining the required skills, knowledge and training in advanced resuscitation techniques. The use of specialised equipment to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.


There are no prerequisites required to participate in this course. However it is recommended that people providing advanced resuscitation techniques have completed HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid.


Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will receive a statement of attainment for:
  • HLTAID007 – Provide Advanced Resuscitation

Course Duration

10+ hours face to face plus online theory.


Completion of practical and theory components are required to achieve competency in this unit.

For the comfort of you and your class mates please ensure you wear comfortable clothes and footwear as practical sessions will require you to kneel on the floor.

All course materials are included in the cost of this course.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum age 14 years
  • Oral communication – in order to make an accurate verbal report to emergency response services and workplace supervisor, the remaining foundation skills essential to performance are explicit in the performance criteria of each unit.
